Short vs. Conventional Stem in Cementless Total Hip Arthroplasty [1:31:32]

Surgical Demonstration 

In this surgical battle, both teams are performing a hip arthroplasty demonstrating how to use different stems. The first team consists of Luigi Zagra and Matthias Hoppe. They are showing the advantages of using a standard stem. The second team with Holger Bäthis and Murat Ates is instead using a short stem. This session is moderated by Carsten Perka. After the surgeries, both teams are discussing the pros and cons of each approach and compare results.

This session was part of the World Surgery Tour Grand Final 2021 and featured by the AO Foundation.
