Two-Staged ACL Revision vs. Single-Staged ACL Revision [1:42:47]
Published on November 9, 2021
Surgical Demonstration
This surgical battle is focusing on ACL revision. Two teams are comparing two different approaches. The first team consists of Daniel Guenther and Thomas Pfeiffer. The two surgeons are performing a two-staged ACL revision. Therefore, they are doing a slope decreasing osteotomy and tunnel bone grafting. On the other side, we have Jan Vonhoegen showing a single-stage ACL revision with an extra-articular tenodesis. The moderators for this session are Atesch Ateschrang and Theresa Diermeier. After the surgeries, both teams are discussing the advantages and disadvantages of each approach and compare results.
This session was part of the World Surgery Tour Grand Final 2021 and featured by AAP, DIZG, DKG, Karl Storz, and Smith & Nephew.
